    Uniting Ethernet networks over several pairs using different interfaces: SHDSL, E1, RS232 
    
     
    
    
        Usage example description Purpose: uniting two Ethernet networks to reach full output in the link by using the bonding mode. In this scheme SG-17R provides either internetwork connection between two Ethernet groups with routing rules or bridge link with shared addressing of the networks united. Transfer rate over each pair reaches 14080 kbit/s. Different transfer rate may be set up in different pairs. It is important that even if on one of the pairs there is a link loss, the performance of the channel does not fail. Up to 6 pairs may be simultaneously linked to a single SG-17R device for SHDSL links based on SG-17R-1RU-CP1-4ETH platform. Up to 8 pairs may be simultaneously linked to a single SG-17R device for SHDSL links based on SG-17R-1RU-CP2-3SFP platform. Besides, in the bonding mode it is possible to unite any kind of channel-forming equipment, through which IP-traffic is transferred: E1, RS-232. Both Ether-HDLC and PPP-multilink may be chosen as protocols.

     Uniting Ethernet networks using SHDSL with VLAN-assisted traffic isolation
    
     
    
    
        Usage example description Purpose: splitting the users’ traffic in the shared physical medium of data transfer. The SG-17R device supporting VLAN technology allows uniting LAN 1 and LAN 2 networks independently. Up to 4 Ethernet networks may be simultaneously linked to a single SG-17R. Each Ethernet port may be set up so as to transfer either the whole traffic or single packets with a certain VLAN number. Transfer rate over each pair reaches 14080 kbit/s. Up to 6 pairs may be simultaneously linked to a single device based on SG-17R-1RU-CP1-4ETH platform.      Uniting Ethernet networks using SHDSL with remote power supply
    
     
    
    
        Usage example description Purpose: linking remote points (single computers or local Ethernet networks) over bridge link with shared addressing mode. Transfer rate over single pair reaches 15296 kbit/s. SG-17B allows translating VLAN IEEE 802.1Q tags either over SHDSL or over Ethernet interfaces. The SG-17BP modem receives remote power from the line from SHDSL modules, installed on SG-17R or SG-17AM DSLAM.
